This has been possible through Coles Nurture Fund, which bestowed 17 loans grants on the company till date. Marketing plan Plans would be an efficient means for companies like Coles in terms of expanding their marketing services. This needs to include each and every activity of the firm, which would result in the overall development of the company as a whole. Target market Selection of medium sized firms would prove beneficial for Coles in terms of achieving efficiency in the business operations. Choosing a spot in the metropolitan areas, which is two years older, would help the company to attract large number of customers (Hills and Hultman 2013). Consideration of the motives behind the purchases made by the customers would enhance the productivity and result in the achievement of sustainable growth. Training After the selection of the marketing spot, plans need to be made regarding the ways and means through which the needs of the customers can be satisfied. The answer for this is the training, which enhances the preconceived skills of the personnel regarding the achievement of customer satisfaction. Division of the courses into various sessions upgrades the grasping power of the personnel regarding the proper means of carrying out the business activities (Lam and Harker 2015). Promotion and advertising Uploading the image of the newly launched products along with their specifications in the social networking sites and official website would help Coles to increase the trafficking of the audience towards the brand image. Within this, keeping the options of customer generated contents and pay per click advertisements would also increase the number of customers. This is one of the efficient means for reaching to the specific needs, demands and requirements of the customers (Sol 2013). Along with this hiring celebrities for promotion of the products would expand the reputation of Coles. Distribution of pamphlets along with the newspapers would make the general public aware of the latest trends adopted by the personnel towards expanding the business. Airing advertisements in radio, television and other sources would also serve the purpose of promotion regarding the products and services of Coles. All these plans would fail if no financial speculation is done well in advance. This would compel coles to encounter financial issues, adding vulnerability to the market position. On the other hand, if evaluation is done frequently, the standard and quality of the products and services would be upgraded (Barrett, H. and Weinstein 2015). Business Research Design-Free-Samples for Students-Myassignment

Question: Required to create an individual reflective journal. A reflective journal is based on the Conceptthatlearningis theresultof 'Mental Construction'. Answer: In this paper, I am going to focus on the different perspectives of the business research design and the importance of learning in several aspects. The main theme of the paper is to demonstrate through proper research that learning is the outcome of a proper mental construction. The idea is that proper learning ought to be the base for running a perfect business administration and the barriers that come along with it must be dealt with tactfully. I must focus on the different aspects of the organizational learning and tend to resolve the issues that I am facing within my working area of knowledge. The more I work and face the challenges, the more I will know from these factors. This will lead to my gathering of new knowledge and face new circumstances. The CLN team I am working with have been facing many troubles of l;ate and I have to remedy these things. The various aspects that I have learnt while creating my BMC and the research proposal for the organization are the leadership and motivation problems, the various issues that I have faced while implementing something new and innovative. The innovation processes is one of the most necessary things that I think is essential for the growth of the organizations and learn new things. I am focusing on the fact that inventing and promoting new technologies in the workplace is indeed an essential fact. This helps to sort out all the negative issues within any organization and erase out the negative things. My thoughts are always linked with the organizational growth and gaining the competitive advantage for the organizations over their rivals. I have implemented several methods in the project of the organization that could add to the flair of success for the organization. Indeed some of them have yielded me success. I have implemented the change management systems within the organizations by which the organization can go through some positive changes. I have taken some actions by which the support could be provided to the team members in order to adjust with the new changes within the organization. The core competencies of the companies have to be analyzed distinctively so that there could be several new things to be welcomed within that core group. I have done some meetings with some of the leaders of the organizations who have suggested that organizational change is very much necessary for the organizations so that it can adjust to the changes in the business environment. I knew that this would not be so easy as to implement the change so successfully but I hoped that the employees of the organizations would cooperate with the management to let that happen positively. I have also learnt through my experiences that continuous improvement is one of the major things among the companies so that it can move on to become the global leaders. Another thing that I have identified during my learning period is that of the underemployed youth and their wicked problems. I suppose the model of strategic decision thinking could be implemented in this regard. According to this framework, I will advise the societal decision makers to define the problems and address them properly. Then the identified problems have to be developed to have a positive solution. The problems have to be analyzed properly and discover on whose part the problem has actually occurred. After the analysis, the decision makers should apply the problem solving method to resolve the issues. I think the people on whose end the problem has really occurred should develop a deep understanding of the problem. Then he should he must define the problem clearly he wants to solve. In the next stage, the brainstorm process should be applied so that potential solutions can be developed and the best possible solution should be applied. A prototype or some prototypes have to be selected so that every part of the solution can be tested. The short-cycle innovation process has to be applied in order to improve the situation. The point of view of the customers has to be understood. The business model canvas has to be developed in the process. The problem has to be looked with deeper insights, different solution perspectives have to be understood, the end users have to be focused, the possibility set has to be expanded, and experimentation and feedback process has to be implemented properly. The best creative ideas should be conveyed to the stakeholders. The process of building a proper business research design is always so very important. This is very much marketable and loveable in all aspects. I think the perspectives that should be focused on in accordance to the desires of all the human needs, technical feasibility and economic viabilities of the people who are in trouble. I would strongly recommend applying these sources in the successful business designing process. In order to build a proper business model, many things have to be kept in mind. The target market of the business organizations have to be measured properly and distributions have to made in order to the so that the supplies could be provided to them. After the problems are recognized, the ways to solve the problems have to be made. One of the main instruments to solve the problem is to confirm the product or the service that would be best for solving the problem. The support strategies have to be applied strongly that would help to solve the priorities. I also thin k before making a business model, the industry experts and investors should be consulted. I would like to advise that one of the main things to enhance the learning process in the business setting is to study about the value proposition canvas. This canvas signals to understand the needs and desires of the customers. This asserts on the fact the product of the company should intersect with the desires of the customers. The equation is in the fact about what things are made by the company and the reason for the customers to buy it. I have faced the challenge that these things do not merge in some cases. This leads to the breakdown of the chain. I should recommend that the organizations should focus on the fact that they should analyze the consumer behavior. This reveals that the organizations should conduct surveys to understand the needs of their customers. I think making better marketing strategies would solve the problem. I suppose the entire learning process remains incomplete if the importance of proper business strategies is not understood. Apart from these things, I would strongly suggest to all the people who are going through the learning process that all these mentioned frameworks should be followed in order to maintain the growth of the companies and understand the needs and values of the consumers. These models should be followed properly to gain the strong competitive advantage over one another. The business model frameworks should be followed by the companies and thus the utilization of the opportunities. The strengths and weaknesses should be analyzed and the threats should be minimized by the companies by applying certain useful strategies. These are the ways the customers can be reached and the organization can yield fruitful results in the markets. In order to conclude, I would like to say that the value proposition canvas template and the relatively important business model frameworks should be applied to obtain terrific outcomes for the business organizations. Wuthering Heights Essay Example

Wuthering Heights Essay Heathcliff is not inherently evil, but rather he is a victim of the judgement and social prejudices of Victorian Society. Emily Brontes Wuthering Heights explores the deep romantic connection between Catherine Linton and the dark-skinned gypsy, Heathcliff and the effect their supernatural relationship has on their heirs. Initially, through Nellys interpretation, Heathcliff is seen as the villain of the novel unjustifiably upsetting the lives of the novels most innocent characters. However, on deeper analysis of Nellys unreliable story, it becomes evident that Heathcliffs satanic actions stem from his deprivation of love and sympathy. As well as societys assumption that he is merely more than an imp from Satan. Heathcliffs villainous actions stem from his lack of love and sympathy as a child. Found as good as dumb in the streets of Liverpool Heathcliff experiences neglect from an early age. Not even after being found by Mr Earnshaw who took to Heathcliff strangely petting him up far above Cathy does Heathcliff ever experience belonging. Through his childhood at Wuthering Heights Heathcliff has to stand Hindleys abuse and be forced to live like a servant after Mr Earnshaws death. This treatment he receives as a child reflects on the way he treats the other characters in the novel, in particular Hareton, who is Heathcliffs opportunity for revenge on Hindley. Hareton is treated by Heathcliff in much the same way as Heathcliff was treated by Hindley after Earnshaws death. Though his treatment of Hareton is terrible, it is the only treatment Heathcliff knows. Unlike Hindley, Heathcliff is aware of his treatment, describing Hareton as the ghost of my immortal love; of my wild endeavours to hold my right; my degradation, my pride, my happiness and my anguish. Heathcliffs ability to recognise the similarities between him and Hareton shows his less satanic side and proves that he is not the creator of evil but rather the victim of it. Heathcliffs intense love for Catherine is behind most of his evil actions. Heathcliff falls passionately in love with Catherine and she, too, is passionately in love with Heathcliff claiming hes more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same. However Cathys want of social advancement separates her and Heathcliff as she believes it would degrade me to marry Heathcliff. It is ultimately Catherines connection with Edgar that divides the pair and induces Heathcliffs evil nature. Through Catherines marriage Heathcliff is denied the only love he has ever had which causes him to deny others of love. Catherines daughter, Cathy explains this when she states Mr Heathcliff, you have nobody to love you; and, however miserable you make us, we shall still have the revenge of thinking that your cruelty arises from your greater misery. Heathcliffs greatest misery is the death of Catherine, which intensifies his malicious treatment of Isabella and is the reason for the forced marriage of Linton and Cathy, as they can provide him with money. Without his love all Heathcliff has for fulfilment is money and power over the other characters, this is shown when he insists Cathy return to Wuthering Heights merely so he can have his children about me. However this does not make Heathcliff evil, his occasionally satanic actions are merely a cause of his separation from his only love. The fury of Heathcliffs revenge is the equal and opposite reaction to the intensity of is love, his ability to love proves that he is not an imp of Satan but lonely like the devil, and envious like him. Heathcliffs actions mirror the way the other characters in Wuthering Heights expect him to act. The Victorian Society from which Wuthering Heights is set is highly preoccupied with image and reputation obtained at birth. So therefore Heathcliff, an orphan with no last name, is seen to society as having no social class. From the moment Heathcliff enters the Earnshaw household he is stereotyped as a gypsy brat and a foulmouthed thief, facing torment and abuse from Hindley on a regular basis over his heritage. The other characters in the novel constantly expect him to be doing wrong, and once Catherine deserts him he gives in to their stereotyping. Heathcliff lives up to the expectation that he is a venomous serpent and a mad dog, and commits evil actions because no one expects any different from him. This is shown when Catherine is taken in by the Lintons and Mrs Linton refers to Heathcliff as a wicked boy Quite unfit for a decent house! Heathcliff responds to this comment by recommencing the cursing that caused him to be named a wicked boy and proving to Mrs Linton that he is as he is stereotyped, an urchin from Liverpool. Though Nelly tries to convince the reader otherwise, Heathcliff was not always as devilish as he would stand Hindleys blows without winking or shedding a tear. Heathcliff gives the reader no indication of wanting revenge or causing harm until years after his introduction to the Earnshaw family. This proves that Heathcliff does not enter Wuthering Heights with the intention of causing harm, but rather the constant stereotyping and the expectation that he is as an evil gypsy causes him to become a fierce, pitiless, wolfish man. Heathcliff is a victim of social prejudice rather than a fiend from hell. As Wuthering Heights progresses so too does our understanding of Heathcliff and the complexity of his nature. Though initially Nellys interpretation causes the reader to see Heathcliff as inherently evil, a deeper analysis of his character proves otherwise. Heathcliff is mistreated and denied love and sympathy from an early age which causes him to act in a satanic manner with no regard for the feeling of others. Heathcliffs nature is mainly influenced from his lack of love, his intense feelings for Catherine and societies expectations.

Galileo Galilei Essays (1048 words) - Galileo Galilei, Free Essays

Galileo Galilei Essays (1048 words) - Galileo Galilei, Free Essays Galileo Galilei subject = European History title = Galileo Galilei Galileo Galilei Galileo Galilei was born at Pisa on the 18th of February in 1564. His father, Vincenzo Galilei, belonged to a noble family and had gained some distinction as a musician and a mathematician. At an early age, Galileo manifested his ability to learn both mathematical and mechanical types of things, but his parents, wishing to turn him aside from studies which promised no substantial return, steered him toward some sort of medical profession. But this had no effect on Galileo. During his youth he was allowed to follow the path that he wished to. Although in the popular mind Galileo is remembered chiefly as an astronomer, however, the science of mechanics and dynamics pretty much owe their existence to his findings. Before he was twenty, observation of the oscillations of a swinging lamp in the cathedral of Pisa led him to the discovery of the isochronism of the pendulum, which theory he utilized fifty years later in the construction of an astronomical clock. In 1588, an essay on the center of gravity in solids obtained for him the title of the Archimedes of his time, and secured him a teaching spot in the University of Pisa. During the years immediately following, taking advantage of the celebrated leaning tower, he laid the foundation experimentally of the theory of falling bodies and demonstrated the falsity of the peripatetic maxim, which is that an objects rate of descent is proportional to its weight. When he challenged this it made all of the followers of Aristotle extremely angry, they would not except the fact that their leader could have been wrong. Galileo, in result of this and other troubles, found it prudent to quit Pisa and move to Florence, the original home of his family. In Florence he was nominated by the Venetian Senate in 1592 to the chair of mathematics in the University of Padua, which he occupied for eighteen years, with ever-increasing fame. After that he was appointed philosopher and mathematician to the Grand Duke of Tuscany. During the whole of this period, and to the close of his life, his investigation of Nature, in all her fields, was never stopped. Following up his experiments at Pisa with others upon inclined planes, Galileo established the laws of falling bodies as they are still formulated. He likewise demonstrated the laws of projectiles, and largely anticipated the laws of motion as finally established by Newton. In statics, he gave the first direct and satisfactory demonstration of the laws of equilibrium and the principle of virtual velocities. In hydrostatics, he set forth the true principle of flotation. He invented a thermometer, though a defective one, but he did not, as is sometimes claimed for him, invent the microscope. Though, as has been said, it is by his astronomical discoveries that he is most widely remembered, it is not these that constitute his most substantial title to fame. In this connection, his greatest achievement was undoubtedly his virtual invention of the telescope. Hearing early in 1609 that a Dutch optician, named Lippershey, had produced an instrument by which the apparent size of remote objects was magnified, Galileo at once realized the principle by which such a result could alone be attained, and, after a single night devoted to consideration of the laws of refraction, he succeeded in constructing a telescope which magnified three times, its magnifying power being soon increased to thirty-two. This instrument being provided and turned towards the heavens, the discoveries, which have made Galileo famous, were bound at once to follow, though undoubtedly he was quick to grasp their full significance. The moon was shown not to be, as the old astronomy taught, a smooth and perfect sphere, of different nature to the earth, but to possess hills and valleys and other features resembling those of our own globe. The planet Jupiter was found to have satellites, thus displaying a solar system in miniature, and supporting the doctrine of Copernicus. It had been argued against the said system that, if it were true, the inferior planets, Venus and Mercury, between the earth and the sun, should in the course of their revolution exhibit phases like those of the moon, and, these being invisible to the naked eye, Copernicus had to change the false explanation that these planets were transparent and the sun's rays passed through them. But with his telescope Galileo found that Venus did actually exhibit the desired phases, and the objection

Assignment - Essay Example Moreover, in such cases any sort of negative complications of pets relating to death or illness, may distorts the sentimental balance of the attached persons. At that moment, the written descriptions made by such emotionally hurt individuals often termed as lossography. People suffering from such pain and misery often tend towards expressing their emotions for loosening up the excessive level of mental stress to which they are subjected. In this respect, an individual presenting emotion in writing is an effective way of understanding psychological distress. Presenting emotional distress in writing is considered as a form of psychological treatment. Thus, lossography is an effective measure based on which pain and sufferings of an individual can be analyzed at the time of loss (Sheridan 20-50). Considering the above aspects, it can be stated that human beings have different ways of expressing their feelings and emotions. One of such techniques is the lossography that can be considered effective enough under such circumstances. This technique also helps in describing the behavioral and emotional attachment trends of an individual. Sheridan, Thomas. Comparing Two Shows Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Comparing Two Shows - Essay Example The show has had a very successful run, it is presently in its tenth season, this goes to show how popular the show has been thus far. â€Å"There are six main characters and each of them has their own traits. Almost all the characters have traits which would make them look funny, it is a sitcom and the characters must appear funny to be able to convince the audience.† (Television and Gender Roles) â€Å"Everybody love Raymond is another very popular TV show which has been very well liked and followed.† (Everybody loves lazy stereotyping of male roles)The concept of Gender roles must be noticed in this serial, Debra the wife of Raymond is always in the kitchen making food either for her husband or for her family, this goes to show that women are always in the kitchen spending their time cooking for their families. Marxist feminism also comes into play here, Karl Marx argues that women must be paid for domestic labor; this is what Marxist feminism is all about. Another v ery important thing which must be noticed in this show is that Debra is the one who always packs the lunch of her children; Raymond never bothers to do this. It goes to show how irresponsible at times men are towards their families. â€Å"The gender roles presented in these serials are presented very rightly after doing comprehensive research.† (Gender and Media Representation) Gilman called herself a humanist, she was deadly against exploitation of women, our society is still following the patriarchal ways and exploiting the women. She was not very comfortable accepting the theory of evolution laid down by Charles Darwin, the theory of evolution portrays man in the driving seat and gives less importance to women. Both the sexes are equally important and no favoritism of any sort can be done. She argued that women had to rely excessively on their sexual assets, they had to please their husband to ensure their survival, this is very true and beyond the pale. What a pity this r eally is. Grounded for life is another very popular TV show which is well liked by the audience. In one episode the husband decides to buy a car without even bothering to ask his wife, marriage is an institution and it is the right of the wife to be well informed about all the decisions made by her husband. This again reflects the reality; there are countless husbands who do not bother asking their better halves before making an important decision. Dad goes to work and Mom takes care of the household chores, it is unacceptable if a man packs lunch for his children, it is unacceptable if a man does the dishes. It is incorrect if a man asks his wife before making a big decision, buying a car is quite a big decision and a wife must know of this big decision before hand. Perkins Gilman was a very famous American sociologist who wanted to bring about change in the society, it is our duty to share the workload with women, and it is not a man’s world anymore. Women must be given res pect and their workload must be shared. It is very important to understand the responsibilities of living in a family, gender stenotypes must be abolished and we must awake to a new and a better world. Our society is becoming more and more men-oriented society, women have never been given enough respect and this is perhaps why so many marriages never workout. In a relationship both the partners have to make sacrifices and both should complement each other but this can only happen when there is perfect understanding and coordination between the pair of

American Foreign Policy In The Middle East

American Foreign Policy In The Middle East In spite of long distance between Middle East and United States, U.S. has influenced and has connections in the every country in the region. Strategic interests have forced the US to build the relations with Middle East including the competition with the Soviet Union U.S. has been provoked by the Soviet Union for its interventions from diplomatic overtures of war and friendship. Americans have interests to access the Middle Eastern oil. In this regard they have motivated their presidents and lawmakers to intervene the region. In addition cultural ties bind Arab Americans, Iranian Americans and Turkish Americans. These American groups want to make the voices heard in the U.S. foreign policy arena. The aim of this paper is to discuss the United States ideological and physical presence in the region of the Middle East. The paper has mainly focused on the points of the foreign policies of U.S towards the Middle East and the crisis which need special attention of America. Discussion The Cold War ended with the Soviet withdrawal from the Third World in general, leaving the United States unchallenged at a regional level, for an uncertain period of time. Sudden collapse of the Cold War rival, disintegration of the Soviet Union, brought the super military and economic power in need to readjust from one attuned to the global activities and ambitions of Soviet Union to one with new definitions of security and political interests. The year 1989 proved to be a very important watershed in the world politics with regard to its reflection and influence on the political history. The Cold war period was an idiosyncratic with its governing rules. U.S. and the Soviet Union reflected its spirit on all levels of the interactions among all actors of the system. This had also been observed in the interaction between the superpowers and one particular sub-region, one of the most problematic artificial regions of recent times- the Middle East. After subjecting to a certain level of limitation, factors that had shaped the U.S. Middle East policies during the Cold War did emerge as preventing the expansion of Communism by the Soviet Union, securing the free-flow of the Middle Eastern oil to Western industry, and providing the security of newly formed state of Israel and other pro-Western states. The Cold War ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union that resulted in the emergence of new independent states, which became the pawns of the new rivalry between big powers to fill the power vacuum after the Soviets to utilize from their natural resources. But for the sake of the aim of the paper, after a brief look at global developments, the study will focus on the U.S. and Middle Eastern relations in more detail. Color of the new period started to become obvious with immediate signs provided by Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, civil war in Somalia, etc. These have been contributions to the demands and claims of the U.S. by the regional states. `Uncivilized` parts of the world invited the saviors to bring peace and happiness, but on tanks, through mistreating their neighbors and citizens. Egypt and U.S. relationships have been under the distrustful condition due to nationalization of Suez Canal. During this time Egypt turned towards the Eastern block and Soviet Union and relations suffered with U.S. until the Soviet Advisor was not ousted. After that Egypt began to orient its economic and foreign policies towards the West especially U.S. Iraq invasion by the U.S. has resulted the distrust and dispersal in Middle East. However U.S kept eyes on the wells of the Iraq, and was forced to withdraw its troops from the region. New president of U.S Obama has committed to withdraw its troops and launch a very comprehensive regional and international diplomatic relations with the brokers to settle the Iraqi people. Obama would withdraw most of the troops from the region and emphasized that troop would be in Kuwait rather than in Iraq itself. Iran is under the pressure of the U.S. Irans nuclear program has created concern for the Israel in the region. It is clear that American foreign policies revolve around the benefits of the Israel. Irans nuclear program is hurdle in the ways of Israel invasion in the Palestinian territory. However Obama has criticized the Senator Clinton bellicose Kyl-Lieberman amendment targeting Iran. He has preferred to negotiate with Iran directly. Sustained and aggressive diplomacy combined with tough sanctions should be our primary means to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons. (Obama U.S. President). This raises the question why the Obama has not called for aggressive diplomacy and tough sanctions against the Israel, India and Pakistan for their existing nuclear weapons, so no less than Iran is also making violations of UN security resolutions. Although in the case of the Palestine, in start of his regime he has called for balance of power in Palestinian territory with support of the Israeli peace camp and its supporters. He was hopeful to settle the conflict according to the line of Geneva Initiative and also similar efforts by Israeli and Palestinians. However past two years Obama has changed the mind and has insisted to help the Israel with full funding the military assistance. In the presence of the international condemnation the Obama has claimed that Hezbollah was the responsible for these killings of innocent citizens. However the Human Right Watch has found that there was no involvement of the Hezbollah and it was the massive killings of innocent people by the Israeli tro ops. Obamas senators always condemn the attacks against the Israeli civilians by Arabs and have never condemned the killings of Pedestrians by the Israeli troops. Syria is the country of the region and lies in the part of the Middle East from where U.S. can get its goals in the Middle East. American has not established a confidant policy towards the Syria. Conclusions This paper has examined the points of American foreign policies in Middle East. This paper provides a brief evaluation of the American foreign policy and measures taken to make the region very peaceful for the Obama Administration. We have started from the Cold war pre-circumstances and presently prevailing conditions of the Middle East with perspective of the America foreign policy. This paper ends with a discussion of the potential for a return to liberalism in foreign policy towards the Middle East during the present Obama administration. A very moderate and realistic approach is recommended in specific instances. A foreign policy based on the true realistic approaches is required to be fully reconsidered.
